About Points Auction

Points Auction allows Qantas Frequent Flyer members to bid with their Qantas Points on exclusive experiences.

How Points Auction works

1. Visit qantas.com/pointsauction.

2. Select the auction item that interests you and you’ll be directed to the relevant page.

3. If the Points Auction is live, then the auction is currently open for bids.

4. Login and use your Qantas Points to enter a bid amount. You’ll need to ensure that the amount is above the current highest bid.

5. Click Place Bid.

• If you've placed the highest bid, then you’ll get a confirmation message.

• • Note: You must be an Australian resident, 18 years or older and have at least one point higher than the starting bid or the last bid placed in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

• When a higher bid has been placed you’ll receive an outbid email, so that you can go back online to place another bid.

• By making a bid in the Qantas Points Auction you agree to the following terms and conditions:

• • Each auction has a starting bid set by Qantas.

  • When the auction ends, we’ll display the highest bid on the Points Auction page for the item.

  • If you’ve won you must have sufficient points in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to cover the amount offered in the winning bid within 24 hours of the auction closing. We'll use reasonable endeavours to contact each winner by email and phone before midday following the close of the auction. In the event you don’t have enough points after this 24 hour grace period, we reserve the right to cancel the bid and decide the best course of action for the item.

  • If the auction item of interest to you hasn’t yet started, you can opt to add a reminder to your calendar, so you don’t miss out.

  • You can only enter a bid if, at the time of submitting that bid, you have at least one point higher than the starting bid or the last bid placed in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

By making a bid in the Qantas Points Auction you agree to the terms and conditions particular to each auction item, as displayed on each auction item’s bidding page. The Qantas Rewards Store Terms and Conditions do not apply to the Points Auction.

Make the most of your Qantas Points

If you’ve won, you must have sufficient points in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to cover the amount offered in the winning bid within 24 hours of the auction closing. Please note the points are deducted from your account two business days after the auction for the item has closed.

Qantas will use reasonable endeavours to contact you by email and phone before midday following the close of the auction.

In the event you do not have enough points after this 24 hour grace period, we reserve the right to cancel the bid and decide the best course of action for the item.

By making a bid in the Qantas Points Auction you agree that we may use your Personal Information, including information in relation to any bids you make, for marketing purposes. You may opt out of any marketing by logging into your Qantas Frequent Flyer account and managing your preferences under interests and subscriptions.
